HTTP transport for provisioning and configuration files (applies to the IP Phone
2007, 1110, 1120E, 1140E, 1150E, 1210, 1220 and 1230)
UNIStim firmware commencing in release 3.0 on the IP Phone 2007, 1110, 1120E, 1140E,
1150E, 1210, 1220 and 1230, delivered the capability to provision the IP phones via
provisioning files. The provisioning files can be retrieved from a TFTP server.
Now with UNIStim firmware release 3.3, in addition to retrieving the provisioning files from a
TFTP server the IP Phones can also retrieve the provisioning files and configuration files
from a HTTP server (web server).
To tell the IP phone that the files are to be retrieved from a HTTP server, the “Provision:”
parameter in the Network Configuration menu must be configured in a certain manner. The
parameter must be defined as a URL that starts with “http://” . As examples, the parameter
could be an IP address prefixed with http:// such as:
http://192.168.0.1
or a URL such as:
http://enterprise.com/webserver
When the phone sees the server address or URL prefixed with “http://” it knows to connect
to an HTTP server and retrieve the files using HTTP as opposed to TFTP.
Likewise, if the Info Block “prov” parameter is prefixed with “http://” the IP Phone will connect
to an HTTP server and retrieve the files using HTTP as opposed to TFTP. For example:
prov=http://192.168.0.1 or prov=http://enterprise.com/webserver
In addition, if the phone receives DHCP Option 66 (TFTP server name) and the string is
prefixed with “http://” the IP Phone will connect to an HTTP server and retrieve the files
using HTTP as opposed to TFTP.
Так, того и гляди, к 4.0 сделают на ТА, веб сервер для "подписывания" клавиш. :)
